Alphabet Shares Plummet 9% Following Inaccuracy in AI Chatbot Bard Advertisement

Alphabet drops 9% following a report that the tech giant’s advertisement for its new Google AI Chatbot Bard contained inaccurate information

Alphabet’s shares fell Wednesday, after a Reuters article said that an advertisement for Google AI chatbot Bard had an incorrect answer to a query meant to demonstrate the tool’s capabilities.

The shares of the company dropped as much as 8,9% to $98.04, the lowest price since the 31st January and barely retraced the decline as the afternoon traded began.

Reuters reported that a tweet by Google featuring a GIF of Bard, which Sundar Pichai, Google CEO on Monday announced as their \”experimental AI services\”, gave an incorrect answer to a question regarding NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope.
