Robots can make French fries better and faster than humans

PASADENA (Reuters) – Fast-food French fries, and onion rings, are now high-tech thanks to a Southern California company.

Miso Robotics Inc. in Pasadena, California, has begun rolling out its Flippy 2 robotic deep-frying system.

A large robotic arm, similar to those used in auto plants, is controlled by cameras and artificially intelligent software. It takes out frozen French fries, and other food items from a freezer. Then, it dips the foods into hot oil and deposits them ready-to-serve into a tray.
