Exploring the Generative AI Hype: Investors and Techies Gather in San Francisco

Investors and techies converge in San Francisco for a day of generative A.I. The hype is sparked

The term \”generative AI\” is used to describe programs that use artificial-intelligence to generate new content from complex queries. For example, \”write a Robert Frost-style poem about monkeys\” or \”create an image of pandas draped across living room furniture\”.

AI, as a term, refers to programs that \”learn\” by analyzing new data. This concept has been around for many years in software, but generative AI puts a consumer-friendly spin on it.

Around 1,000 people, including AI researchers, content marketers and other professionals, attended the Gen AI Conference on Tuesday, organized by Jasper. The event was lavishly held on Pier 27 at the Embarcadero overlooking San Francisco Bay.
