ChatGPT now has \”eyes and ear\” thanks to plugins that interface AI with the real world

OpenAI announced on Thursday a system of plugins for its ChatGPT assistant. The plugins allow ChatGPT to interact with other people via the Internet. This includes booking flights, ordering grocery, browsing the internet, and much more. Plugins tell ChatGPT to access an external resource via the Internet.

It is now possible for developers to allow ChatGPT to perform tasks controlled by network services (for instance: \”looking up the current stock price\”) or to access network services (for instance: \”ordering a pizza over the Internet\”) as long as they don’t violate OpenAI’s guidelines.
