China: AI-powered robot CEO named for company

A Chinese metaverse firm has named a robot its CEO! You read that right. This may sound like something straight out of an old Sci-Fi film, but it’s true. NetDragon Websoft is a Chinese company that develops, operates and makes mobile apps as well as multiplayer online games.

The Chinese gaming company recently announced that its new CEO, ‘Ms. Tang Yu’. The CEO is an AI powered virtual humanoid robotic. Tang Yu was appointed CEO of Fujian NetDragon Websoft, the principal subsidiary of the company. The robot is the first in the world to hold a senior executive position.
