Unlocking Autonomous Oscillations in a Supramolecular Self-Replicator

A self-replicating supramolecular oscillator that is autonomous

The natural world is full of oscillations. A number of inorganic oscillating reaction are well known, but the creation and control of self-replicating oscillating systems have remained a challenge. It has now been demonstrated that oscillations fueled by chemicals within a network organic replicators are capable of driving supramolecular assemblies and disassemblies.
