As AI enters its golden age, it is more important than ever to discuss diversity. Each new technology seems to have some horrifying consequences.

Few weeks ago, I was told by a founder that it took him three hours to click endlessly until he found an AI-generated picture of a Black female. In some ways, it reminded me of a talk I heard three years ago, when Yasmin, then the director of research and developments for Jigsaw spoke about the way human bias creeps into AI programming. This founder and her talk, though miles apart and many years apart, form two parts of the same puzzle.
