Watch Syntiant’s 1-milliwatt chip play Doom

Syntiant, a company based in Irvine, Calif., presented the NDP200 at the IEEE 2023 International Solid State Circuits Conference, held this week in San Francisco. It is an ultralow power chip that runs neural networks to monitor video and alert other systems when something significant is detected. The NDP200 may have a primary purpose, but it can also be trained to slay the demon spawn if properly instructed.
