T-Mobile uses 5G-enabled robot arm to draw world’s first remote tattoo

A team sponsored by T-Mobile Netherlands, in collaboration with a telecommunications firm, a roboticist and a tattoo artist as well as a brave tattoo recipient, successfully performed the first remote tattooing on a 5G-enabled robot arm.
T-Mobile, as part of its marketing campaign to show the low latency 5G offers, commissioned British technologist Noel Drew, to build and program a robotic arm that would mirror in real-time the needlework done by Dutch tattooist Wes Thomas, on a mannequin’s arm.
