China to introduce new AI regulations following the launch of AI by Alibaba, Baidu and Huawei
A regulation expert says that AI is a major challenge to global governance.
On Tuesday, the Cyberspace Administration of China’s (CAC), China’s internet regulator proposed rules to regulate artificial intelligence (AI), tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
CAC’s draft regulation on its website states that \”China supports independent innovation, popularization, application and international collaboration of basic technologies such AI algorithms and Frameworks\”.

CAS made its move after China’s two biggest tech companies, Baidu, and Alibaba, unveiled their AI bot technology to compete with the U.S.
