Blake Lemoine, the suspended Google engineer who made a splash in this month’s news by claiming that LaMDA, Google’s chatbot has become intelligent.
Lemoine, a Futurism reporter on Wednesday, said that the AI researcher was \”scared\” off the case after being placed on administrative leave for violating the tech giant’s confidentiality policy.
The story gets even wilder. In a recent interview with Fox News Lemoine raised the stakes, saying that LaMDA might escape its software jail and \”do terrible things.\”
