Bill Gates’ startup uses robots to build huge solar farms
Breakthrough Energy Ventures, founded by Bill Gates, led a $44-million funding round for an entrepreneur that wants to speed up solar-far construction.

A press release reveals that Breakthrough Energy Ventures – a climate change solutions focused VC firm backed in part by Bill Gates – has invested $44 million to support solar startup Terabase Energy.

Prelude Ventures is a VC firm that has backed Amp Robotics as well as Lime. Terabase Energy now has a total of $52 million in funding.

Matt Campbell, the co-founder and CEO of Terabase Energy, says that their goal is to build solar farms at \”terawatt scale\”, using robots.
