Airbus Launches Wingman Drones from A400M to Support Future Combat Air System

Airbus successfully launches the wingman drones for A400M
The Remote Carriers will support the pilots and their missions and tasks.

A group led Airbus successfully tested the launch, operation, and modification of an Airbus Do-DT25 drone from a flying A400M.

The project was developed jointly with the German Bundeswehr, German Aerospace Center DLR and German companies SFL, Geradts and Geradts. It aims to complement the European sixth-generation jet fighter, which is part of the Future Combat Air System. Airbus’ military transport planes will play a role in future FCAS missions that include extending the range and multiplying the force of unmanned systems.
