Bard: Introducing the Bard.
Working on these technologies is a very exciting experience as we translate our research and discoveries into products that help people. This is the journey that we have been on with our large language models. We unveiled our next-generation conversation and language capabilities two years ago, powered by the Language Model for Dialogue Applications.

Bard is an experimental conversational AI system powered by LaMDA that we have been developing. Today, we are taking another step by making Bard available to trusted testers before it is made more widely accessible to the public.

Bard aims to combine the vastness of knowledge of the world with the intelligence, creativity and power of our large language model. It uses information from the internet to produce high-quality, fresh responses. Bard is a creative outlet and curiosity booster. It can help you explain to a 9 year old the new discoveries made by NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, or find out more about football strikers and get drills that will improve your skills.
