Robot: AI is both a threat and an opportunity to artists in Lords Address — Video

A robot addressed the House of Lords in the UK for the first-time, telling a panel that artificial intelligence could be both a threat and an opportunity to artists.

Ai-Da, a robot created in Oxford by Aidan Meller and named Ai-Da, testified before the Communications and Digital Committee as part of a probe into the future of fashion, music, and the arts and how AI could affect them.

Ai-Da, named after computing pioneer Ada Lovelace, was created to ‘comment on and critique’ rapid technological changes.
