The team develops robots to autonomously pick and transport fruit using teamwork
Smart farms, for example, can now use robots to harvest and transport crops without the need for human assistance.

A research team led by Choi TaeYong, principal scientist at the AI Robot Research Division’s Department of Robotics and Mechatronics of Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (an institution under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Science and ICT) has developed a multi-robot harvesting system.

This technology can help in agricultural sites that have a shortage of workers by automating the harvesting process. The system includes robots which use autonomous driving to transport harvested crops to loading bays.
