Mercedes-Benz will be the first in the US to offer Level 3 autonomy driving

California is next in line.

Mercedes Benz is on track to be the first automaker to offer Level 3-autonomous driving technology in the US. The Drive Pilot system has been approved in Nevada and California. The announcement was made during the Consumer Electronics Show 2023. This show showcased a variety of new technologies.

According to the German manufacturer the Department of Motor Vehicles Nevada (DMV) has approved the application and certification should be received within the next two week. Mercedes-Benz is the first OEM in the US to offer a Level 3-system. The company believes that California will soon follow.
