‘Lego-like’ universal connector makes assembling stretchable devices a snap
A team of researchers at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (NTU Singapore), led by an international team, has developed a universal connecter to quickly and easily assemble stretchable devices, \”like Lego\”.
Stretchable devices including soft robots and wearable health care devices are assembled using several different modules with different material characteristics–some soft, some rigid, and some encapsulated.
The commercial glues used to connect modules are often deformed and do not transmit signals mechanically or electrically reliably.
