Humans in the GenAI Loop
As astronomers put it, ChatGPT’s Generative AI is \”going supernova\”, outshining all other innovations at the moment. The technology is still dependent on humans, despite the alarmist predictions that AI will overtake mankind and enslave it.
The AI is capable of producing content and code in a blink, but it requires human oversight to ensure that the output is not low-quality or incorrect. The technology can’t be trusted to produce accurate results that humans can trust, whether it is writing a report or a computer programme. Even though it’s improving, the process of improvement is dependent on an army humans who painstakingly correct the AI model’s mistakes to try to teach it how to behave.
The concept of humans in the loop in AI is not new. This refers to the practice that involves human experts in the training and refinement of AI systems.
