Joscha Bach – From computation to consciousness
Dr. Joscha BACH (MIT Media Lab, Harvard Program for Evolutionary Dynamics), an AI researcher, is a writer and works on cognitive architectures, emotional modeling, social models, and multi-agent system.

He is the founder of the MicroPsi Project, where virtual agents are built and used in an computer model to describe and discover the interactions between emotion, motivation and cognition in situated agents.

Bach’s quest to create a mental model is the foundation of Strong AI. Cognitive abilities on par with those of humans. He is particularly interested in AI philosophy and the enhancement of the human brain.
