PepsiCo’s AI executive says 2023 is the year for ‘hope’ and ‘focus’

Athina Kanioura was appointed PepsiCo’s first Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer in September 2020. She believes that the last year was aspirational but ultimately unsuccessful when it comes to AI. She is more optimistic about 2023.

She told VentureBeat, \”Think about how we began with the metaverse and AI use. Suddenly it fell apart.\” We tend to lose hope in AI when we see that something doesn’t work out the first time. But I believe 2023 will be a year full of hope for AI.
