Do you have a PhD in AI ethics? The 6th AAAI/ACM Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Ethics, and Society invites PhD students from around the world to apply for AIES Student Track, which provides targeted programming, mentoring, and funding in order to attend AIES, Montreal, August 8-10,2023. We encourage students from all backgrounds, disciplines, and methods to apply.

The AIES Student Track is a highly competitive program which provides PhD students with targeted programs, mentorship and financial support for AIES. Accepted students also present their research at the conference in a poster and lightning talk session, take part in breakout sessions with peers and receive mentorship from senior scholars.
You can apply if you are a PhD student with research interests that relate to the conference, regardless of whether you have submitted a paper for the main track. The full list of topics is available in the CFP for main track. If you have papers that were accepted for the main track, then you must submit a separate student application.
The student program includes both a free conference registration as well as a travel allowance to offset the costs of travel and accommodations. The exact award amount varies depending on financial need.
