Achieving Personalized Cardiovascular Care Through 3D-Printed Hearts

Scientists at MIT have developed a 3D printed heart that functions like a real heart

The soft, flexible shell is a perfect replica of the heart.

The newly developed robotic cardiac device from MIT engineers will allow doctors to adjust therapy according to each individual’s unique heart structure and function. The 3D-printed personalized heart can mimic and control the patient’s ability to pump blood.
