Researchers use GPUs for evaluating human brain connectivity
Researchers at the Indian Institute of Science have developed a new GPU-based algorithm that can be used to predict the connectivity of different brain regions.
ReAl LiFE is an algorithm that can quickly analyze huge amounts of data from diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI scans) of the brain. The team evaluated dMRI scans 150 times faster using ReAL-LiFE than the existing state-ofthe-art algorithms.
