Computer scientists create believable human interactions in AI World of Smallville
What do you get if you take a template from a virtual reality game of the 1980s, create 25 AI-based characters, give them histories and personalities, add memory and ChatGPT?
This is a pretty good representation of a society that functions with convincing human interactions.
Six computer scientists from Stanford University, Google Research and other institutions have come to this conclusion after creating a Sims like environment that allows them to monitor the daily activities of residents of a virtual town created by AI.
