Intel Labs introduces a new approach to neural network-based object learning

Intel Labs researchers, in collaboration the Italian Institute of Technology, and the Technical University of Munich have developed a new neural network-based approach to object learning. The new approach is aimed at future robotics applications such as robotic assistants who interact with environments that are not constrained, like those in logistics and healthcare.

New research could be crucial to improving the manufacturing or service capabilities of future robots.

The paper \”Interactive continual Learning for Robots: A Neuromorphic Approach\” won the \”Best Paper Award\” at 2022 International Conference on Neuromorphic Systems, hosted by Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
